A |     (ECNS) -- Guangdong Province's power load reached a record 175.7 million kilowatts at 1:47 p.m. on Tuesday, the fourth time this year that the provincial grid has set a new high, according to Guangdong Power Grid under China Southern Power Grid (CSG).    The figure was up 6.53% year on year, while power supply across the province remained stable and orderly.        On the same day, several cities in Guangdong, including Yangjiang, Shantou, Jieyang and Chaozhou, also recorded their highest-ever power loads.    The surge in electricity demand was driven by a prolonged heatwave linked to the subsiding airflow of Typhoon Dolphin (202613), which began affecting the province on Aug. 6. Persistently high temperatures sharply increased demand for air conditioning, while steady economic growth further boosted electricity consumption, said Chen Huican, head of the trading group at the operation planning department of the CSG Guangdong Power Dispatch and Control Center.    From January to July, Guangdong's total electricity consumption rose 7.67% year on year. The high-tech and equipment manufacturing sectors emerged as major drivers of industrial electricity demand, with consumption increasing 8.77%.    The digital economy and new energy vehicle industry also contributed significantly to growth in the services sector, with electricity consumption by internet data services rising by more than 50% year on year.    By the end of July, Guangdong's cumulative installed capacity of grid-connected offshore wind power had reached 13.57 million kilowatts. The addition of new clean energy capacity has helped strengthen the province's power supply.    Meanwhile, 43 grid-side energy storage facilities across Guangdong have been discharging electricity during peak demand periods, providing additional support for the province's power grid.    (By Tang Yuxian)                        。    According to sources, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are expected to reunite once again on a new film directed by Ayan Mukerji. This project would mark their reunion after ten years. While details regarding the collaboration and the film's core team have been released, India Today has reported that the movie will be a loose adaptation of Raj Kapoor and Nargis's 1956 classic, Chori Chori.            Sources close to the project say that Ranbir is set to re-envision a classic film originally directed by his great-grandfather, Raj Kapoor, by mixing it with a modern, contemporary perspective. The original movie depicted the unexpected connection that developed between a runaway heiress and a quick-witted reporter during a journey filled with romance, comedy, and social commentary.          According to the sources, the upcoming film will not directly replicate the original plot but will instead offer a fresh interpretation of its core concept incorporating modern character developments and updated narrative elements.           Ranbir is reportedly planning to revive the famous RK Films banner for this project, motivated by his own desire to restore the family legacy. The movie is expected to be the first title under the reestablished banner.           With Ayan directing and Ranbir and Deepika in the lead roles, the film is not only a huge onscreen reunion but also a modern tribute to a classic collaboration between Raj Kapoor and Nargis.           The upcoming project will mark the reunion of Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone after a decade, following their last collaboration on Tamasha (2015). Their on-screen chemistry, especially in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani was greatly appreciated by their fans.           On the work front, Ranbir is occupied in filming Love & War, alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. He will also be seen in the Nitesh Tiwari directorial Ramayana which is slated to release in two parts. Meanwhile, Deepika is currently involved in the making of King, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan. Also Read: PHOTOS: Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone Share a Hug As They Return to Mumbai。
